High quality, affordable automotive instruments
Founded in 1967, Equus began as a manufacturer of private label instrumentation for a number of OEM and aftermarket brands. Using the expertise honed over years of meeting the most stringent of manufacturing standards, Equus then launched their own line of high quality, affordable automotive instruments. iEquus remains a key supplier to some of the largest names in the automotive world and holds a number of US patents governing market leading gauge design and manufacturing.
Equus approached SMDesign seeking a complete redesign of their ecommerce website. The website design also needed to be fully responsive, which would enable seamless browsing experience across all screen sizes and all devices.

The automotive industry trends toward visuals that highlight speed, power, and focus on cutting edge technology. That is exactly what we did for EQUUS, with polished-to-perfection design elements that embody these qualities. Minimalist design puts the products front and center, and is very effective for this type of ecommerce store. Magento 2 Development
It’s always a challenge to develop an online shop in the automotive industry, especially when it comes to connecting product data. Magento 2 is a good choice with its layered navigation offering navigation by category and by series.
The overall navigation structure is reduced and rearranged based on importance. This avoids the need to change the website every time new models come up. The site now makes it easier for visitors to locate information about Equus’ full lineup of automotive gauges and tachometers, and includes enhanced content as well as improved navigability.
